Many couples come to counseling feeling confused, hurt, disconnected, frustrated, or uncertain about what comes next. Some are caught in the same arguments over and over.  Helping couples reconnect before giving up on their marriage.

We can go as fast or as slow as you want.  Ask about weekend intensives to "jump start" the process.  Some couples go 1 to 2 times per week to start, then taper off as the relationship improves.

We prefer to work with couples (both members of the relationship) when possible.  Ultimately "it takes two to tango" so it's ideal to have both partners involved in the process.

If that's just not possible, we do offer individual counseling for those looking to repair and restore their relationship as much as they can on their own.

Per Board regulations, both partners must be physically located in the State of Arizona at the time of counseling.

Under some circumstances we can start with individual counseling and then convert to couples therapy, but that is not always possible so it is highly recommended, if possible. to start with both members of the relationship.

Relationship counseling is contra-indicated if there is active addiction or physical abuse taking place.  These issues need to be resolved first (or contemporaneously in some cases) before couples therapy can begin.

Other than that, let's give it a try!  Regardless, you should call a therapist today and discuss your situation before giving up or opting out.

Absolutely!  Right?

It's worth a try and most DEFINITELY worth the investment.

Consider the alternative?

Constant conflict.  Lost productivity and life satisfaction.  Reduced/no intimacy.  Reliving the same problems over and over.  And at worst cast, Divorce attorneys...  Separation of property...  The effect on your children, grandchildren, family and friends.

The investment in your marriage/relationships with a good marriage therapist is trivial in comparison to the cost if you don't call.

Yes.

Partner Betrayal Trauma is REAL, and can be treated, if both partners are willing.

Safety and trust can be restored.

It won't be easy.

It will take time.

Forgiveness and trust are two different things, and each happens in its own way and in their own time.

Infidelity is often a symptom of other underlying issues that often become the focus of counseling.

Yes.

Marriage Counseling, like all counseling, is protected by Client Confidentiality laws and ethics.  The only exceptions are if you are a danger to yourself or others, child abuse and elder abuse.

Conveniently located on Shea Boulevard in North Phoenix between the 51 and 101 freeways, we serve couples throughout Phoenix, Scottsdale, Arcadia, Desert Ridge/Aviano, Cave Creek, and surrounding communities.
